Hunting trips to South Africa - At the end of November, we at Hunting Style went down to Johannesburg. This was to take the next step in planning the unforgettable hunting trips we will organize to the country.
About 2 hours outside of Johannesburg in the Limpopo area, we will in the next few days be part of something unforgettably wonderful that no one in the company has ever experienced before. This is part of our journey and experience, but all of our offers can of course be personalized for your company's own dream trip.
Photographer and hunter Henrik Wergeland accompanied us on the trip. The pictures (read masterpieces) you will see below are almost exclusively taken by him.
Once at the accommodation
After a short drive through the park, we arrive at our accommodation and their "Sable Lodge". This is where we will enjoy incredible food and lots of laughter in the coming days.
Our South African partner Warren receives us at Keta Park - a private nature reserve he has shared with his family for many decades.
A truly outstanding park with accommodation, in the middle of the bush. Coming here as a first visit to Africa is probably best described as being dropped into an enchanting Jurassic Park world.
Warren and his staff show us around the lodge and let us each choose a bungalow, all adjacent to both pool and lodge.
Each bungalow is well and luxuriously furnished. We have large double beds, glass all around overlooking the park, and of course - three different shower options. End the day with a relaxing moment in the bathtub, with a refreshing outdoor shower under the stars, or a little quick in the "regular" shower.
We are thus in the middle of the bush, surrounded by magnificent animals and a magnificent nature, while experiencing a five-star welcome and accommodation.
Always something to explore
We gather early every morning at Sable Lodge. There we have a cup of coffee and something to chew on before we go out on safari game drive. In the pictures below you can see a small part of the morning experiences.

Just back in the lodge, the outstanding chef Innocence has prepared a first-class breakfast for us to enjoy. Here we sit with high ceilings and incredible views of the fields. At regular intervals we see various animals passing by - buffaloes, baboons, goats and hippos to name a few of what we could see from the lodge.
Between hunting sessions and game drives, we take the opportunity to enjoy ourselves in different ways. Enjoying fresh air and exercise with Warren on his jogs in the park, swimming in the pool, or trying our luck at fishing with free diving and fishing pro Bob.
He otherwise leads the entertainment and development work of the park and has done a tremendous job as a landscape architect at Keta Park and has a lifetime of experience in the arts.
With a varying result in the company, we have relatively quickly got 10 pieces of Mozambique Tilapia. They too are prepared by chef Innocence. The result? - Absolutely delicious deep-fried appetizer snacks we enjoy in the outdoor bar.
Unforgettable fishing on the Wild Coast
In the next part about our trip and hunting trip to South Africa, in addition to Keta Park, we will take a look at our other destination - unforgettable fishing trips on the Wild Coast in the historic Transkei area. There, lobsters are caught by hand, sharks and deep-sea fish are pulled up from the bottom, and you swim freely with the hundreds of wild dolphins that swim around the boat.
